Spencer Krug to release solo EP as Moonface (Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums) During his Progress Report in January with Stereogum, he spoke about his solo album that was supposed to come out in the fall. I forgot about it (mostly because at the time I was super excited for him to talk about Sunset Rubdown’s Dragonslayer to come out) until I found out today.  It comes out January 29th. I love Spencer Krug so, so much.

Diandra cannot do things.

Sunset Rubdown is one of my favorite bands of to come out this decade.  Although my well-known obession with Spencer Krug is kind of disappearing, I still love this band [you know that I am managing at Club Downunder if you hear a SR track as part of the house music playlist]  It is hard for me to pick a favorite SR song, but right now I kind of love this one.  The lyrics are pretty brilliant [one gem: “I’ve heard of creatures, who eat their babies. I and wonder if they stop to think about the taste.” and my favorite “don’t pull your hair out, I won’t pull my hair out.”]
